can I upgrade without formatting my hard drive since I don't have a external hard drive?

I have vista basic
hi

i don't believe so~

i had the same problem as you too, i had a 32bit operating system (vista), slapped in 4 gb, only 3gb read.

so i upgraded to 64bit

there was a 'fix' i needed to apply from Microsoft after installing 64bit vista though (in order to read the full 4gb)....can't remember all the details was a whiles back :o

after that, all was good :)

i'm really pissed off

I got the ISPU confirm later that I ordered yesterday.

But when I went into the store today....they said they were all out! And kept telling me that they don't know who placed the ISPU confirmation, blah blah blah

later the lady offered me a raincheck at 39.99 and said she can't give me a raincheck for 14.99

wtf's the point of giving me a raincheck at regular price
Whoa... Time traveller. You're 43 mins in the future. Holy **** amazing.

holy crap...you are amazing
well, since almost everybody cleared FS stock using ISPU, I decided to get two sticks of RAM for the price of one :cheesygri (almost) from BB. I will never forger how woman on checkout kept saying that I got a good deal. (BB is selling 2gb for $87.99 so after PM it comes to $7.69+tax=$8.70).

Also PM'd at BB here. I printed out the 16.66 page from the FS website since it listed the online expiry date (tomorrow) versus the Customer Appreciation page (14.99). Still managed to get two sticks for $21.35 after taxes, though, so very pleased.

I was able to grab the notebook one from the Waterloo FS. Online said they were OOS, but I called and the guy said they had 16. When I went I had to get a guy to go to the back to look for it. Luckily he found a bunch and another shopper got to enjoy my hard work. =P Haha...

Thanks OP!
yep i grabbed 2 from waterloo as well! The csrs didnt really care, they just adjusted the price even though it was before 5:00pm

I ordered a few too. Got the confirmation email at 10am this morning, drove 17.4km one way and found out that they only reserved one for me. :(

Next time, I will have to make several ISPU orders.

Yay, I picked up 2 sticks of Laptop Ram at Futureshop. For anyone looking for Laptop Ram in Ottawa, Futureshop Merivale had about 15-20 left. The price tag still shows $59.99 but its automatically adjusted in their system. Saw a few fellow RFD members there, I think when I left about 6 pieces of Ram were sold (including my 2 sticks) but a lot of people were still at the computer upgrades section.

For those who are looking for desktop ram you could be out of luck as 8-10 people were waiting for desktop ram as I left. I heard an employee say they had 6 in stock but I could be wrong. Anyways good luck to everyone.
Haha what time were you there? I was at that location at 4:30pm today and they honoured the price for me... I picked up 2 sticks of laptop ram as well.
