I don't see on the website where it says rebates are starting, but I would assume this is a all retailers then?

I wanted to get some more of those LED shop lights from Costco... and I just bought a couple of bulbs from superstore at $1.80 thinking they probably wont have rebates again. Oh well.

Costco is not one of the participating merchants unfortunately...

I confirmed in another thread that Canadian Tire, Home Depot and RCSS for AB are all advertising the fall AB Energy Instant Rebate in their upcoming flyers.

The program goes from September 28 - October 29, 2017 in AB.

Are these LED's as good in every way as an incandescent yet? The right color light, completely dim-able from full power to almost none?

Are any LED lights, regardless of the deal, as nice as incandescents? Which ones?

I tried LED a couple years back, and they weren't there yet. It made matters worse that I have dimmers is a vast portion of my home.

Led's have come along way - just try to find something in 2700K, up to maybe 3000K color range (warm). We have a mix of philips and luminus (costco) as well as a few others and for the most part can't tell the difference. The only ones I dislike are GU10 led's as they tend to cast shadows in odd ways.

Not directly related, but for what it’s worth, I called my local Home Depot in Calgary and he told me that the Alberta rebates don’t start again until the 29th (Friday).

Has anyone seen better pricing per bulb than Superstore's 4 pack for 1.99 in Alberta? I think last time some retailers had 6 pack for 1.99.

Also any deals for ~1600 lumen bulbs (100w equivalent)? The best I have seen is around $5/bulb
