I called the local Best Buy and was told they would PM the tv and give the 10% difference making it $1264.99.

This seems like an amazing deal, apparently the PM works well as Gibby's is within driving distance and shipping would not be required. YMMV.

Too bad FS doesn't carry this model, they have a 750 which is apparently the same, but the naming scheme allows them to not have to PM with BB, at least that is what the sales man at BB said.

I hope this helps someone get a great deal on a TV.

We won't be acting on it, as we are packing our TFSA's full, so $1400 into a TV at this time is not going to happen as it will wind up being a small fortune lost 20 years from now. If it is still available in the new year we will jump. Too bad they don't think we are eligible for the 6 months interest free, apparently owning your home outright but having 35k in student loans is a bad thing.

These are really good TV's. I just got my 46 Samsung LN46A650 in Edmonton this past Thursday and I really love it. Recommend this series of TV to anyone.
