If you're no longer on contract with them, try calling thier retention line. You should be able to get a 1 year free rental deal for the 9141. This way you can test out the unit for a year then decide if you want it. One year is a long time, maybe they will have a better HD/PVR out by then.
You can try searching for the Bell/TV retention thread to get an idea on how to get this deal.

I ended up getting a 9241 at The Source. There turned out to be a $50 discount for existing customers, so I paid $450 for it.

Thanks, for some reason they wouldn't give me a year's free rental but they gave me 30% off for a year and 2 free months. Shrug.

Not sure exactly what you mean by Monthly Service Charge. Whenever a credit is applied to your account, its applied to the entire account.
ie:
$32 - Digital Standard
$ 3 - Digital Service Fee
$26 - 6 Themes
-------------
$20 - HDPVR Rrental
-------------
-$100 - Activiation Credit

"Wherever you see the credit, it will reduce the total amount owing"_______________
This is a short story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about this, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
Which Person are YOU!!!
