Hot: Zellers clearance on car care stuff
Went to Zellers yesterday looking for a some auto wax/cleaners. Turned out they had a great deal on various auto care items.
For example:
Zymol wax/cleaner wax - Reg$19 - $4.50
Turtle Wax Pro Carnuba Liquid - Reg $16 - $3.50
Turtle Wax quick detailer wax (similar to Eagle 5 minute detailer or Mothers wax-as-you-dry) Reg $9 - $.50 CENTS
Turtle Wax Auto Glass Cleaner - $5 - .50 CENTS.
They had several other things too, like wheel and tire cleaners as well as other wax products, but these are the only ones I bought. I doubt all stores have them, but would definitely be worth a drive.
This was in GP, Alberta BTW.

it's an okay deal for "non-specialty general car waxes". All of these are Turtle Wax products...

Zymol is turtle wax?
The quick detailer products works and looks basically the same as the Eagle One/Mothers products.
Can't speak for the Turtle Wax carnuba as I've never used it, but for $4, I'll give it a try.
They had other stuff there too which wasn't Turtle wax brands. Probably a dozen or so different items at a fraction of regular retail.

Just went there again during lunch to see what else there was. Here is a few other things.
Extra large chamois (over 1Mx1M) $2 and $3 (depending on brand). Regular around $13-$15.
Armor All Tire dressing and Armor All wheel cleaners - $2. regular $8-ish.
Eagle One Nanowax - $4.50 and $5.50 (they had 2 different ones). Regular about $20.
Also had deals on things like sponges and wash brushes.
Also had some 3M auto products marked right down too, but didn't buy any. Like waxes and swirl removers.

This was the case last month, if you search for zellers automotive clearance that thread should pop up. The discounted stuff scans up lower sometimes than the clearance sticker. In my case I picked up armor-all wipes, zymol, lots of tire cleaner and shines last month. Great prices. Most of it was older Armorall stuff, but there is some new things too.

That's exactly right. In my case, they had a scanner right near the auto aisle so it was really easy to check, and not just a surprise at the register.

I hope it's available in Richmond, time to stock up. The weather's getting nice, and I can't remember the last time I washed the car.

The light blue bottled stuff that is @ CDN Tire and most department stores -- yes. The real European quality product is spelled differently (note the punctuation on the 'o')
"Continuing to go after the top segments of the market, in 1995 Turtle Wax took aim at classic car owners. The company teamed up with Chuck Bennett, maker of Zymol Natural Liquid Auto Polish, to offer the pricey polish ($20 a bottle) to the mass market. The polish contained coconut and banana oils, almond paste and aloe, and a touch of vitamin E. Turtle Wax also announced it would use informercials to introduce two new products in 1996: Lubricator 2001 is a new engine treatment and Sudden Shine is an auto polish."

Thanks for the link, that was actually an interesting read!
Not sure if it means anything, but this stuff isn't a polish, its a wax... and the "O" has an umlaut over it (the 2 dots). Nowhere on the bottle does it mention turtlewax co anywhere.
Either way, I've heard decent things about the product so I'll give it a whirl for $4.

On the back it should say "Made in USA" or Chicago Il.
