Dry Clean Only
Nice price, but Dry Clean Only???
Would most people really do that?
That would kill the deal for me.
I prefer to wash my bedding frequently; dry cleaning fees would suck.

I think it is good of you to apologize... however, the comment -- can be said to have been directed at the OP. By stating that you think "y "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", but methinks that is just plain fugly" -- you are basically questioning the OP's tastes. Obviously the OP thinks it is a good deal OR they would not have posted.

Its just 60/40 cotton and polyester, dont know why it says dry clean only.
But I think the price is pretty good for a queens duvet set. Just the pattern doesnt really suit me, what happened to good ol solid colors anyway. These would be good for mom I guess._______________

I'm confused. In some parts it says "duvet", in others it says "duvet cover". Which is it? Does it come with a duvet, or just a duvet cover?
I agree on the "dry clean only" part being a bit puzzling too.

If you saw the fabric up close you would realize why it's dry clean only.
Even though it's a polycotton blend, the pattern is not simply a print on cloth. It is a weave of different colored threads to make up the pattern. Very luxurious looking and feeling (not that actual pattern), but not very practical for bedding IMO.
I've ruined jaquard by machine washing, even in cold water. The threads seem to shrink at different rates, and aren't colorfast, so you end up with a mis-shapen, faded mess.

If a duvet is included it's a very hot deal... a duvet itself would be worth that price. It's possible a duvet might be in there since it's a 4 piece set with the other 3 being the duvet cover, shams and bed skirt, unless they count the two shams as two pieces.
Don't worry about the dry cleaning.. you practically never have to wash your duvet cover unless you spill something on it (so unless you're najibs you won't need frequent washing). Even once a season is enough.
Basically it goes like this
Top layer - duvet cover - this never touches you hence never gets dirty
Middle layer - duvet - this is very a plain white which is why you have the cover on top
Bottom layer - flat sheet - these are your bed sheets which you touch while sleeping and needs to be washed frequently
And then obviously on top of the mattres you have your standard bed sheets._______________
