Don't just point out the negative. It would be more appreciated if you could more productive by recommending some that are better - at least to your standard and knowledge.

Just signed one year with pia for $39.95.
PIA, VPN crawls 850 KB/s from 2.5MB/s (18MB Cable) connection using their software client on my PC. That's with a Canadian server and socks5 proxy has connectivity issues, been there and cancelled. You get what you pay for with PIA, my advice is avoid. If you want to take the risk and pay for there terribly slow connection it's $36.95 USD now, not $39.95 USD anymore.

Thanks for info on PIA, I was going to grab it!

If you sign up for StrongVPN, you can simple grab a month of service, get the 2$ add-on USA, pay for a whole year, then just cancel the regular account and you will still have the 2$ account/month locked in.

Also, alo tof the VPN companies use software which is questionable. OpenVPN or get out.

I get similar speeds. However the socks5 works fine. Are other vpn's much faster?

So which would you recommend? What is the advantage to getting the paid version?

Promo still works, using the trial right now.
Did anyone buy in? How is it?

Yah, I got it, seems to work pretty good. Tried Hulu and it works great. Not sure how good it is at actually making you anonymous on the internet.
