How do I burn a Movie to a DVD so it works on my DVD Player?
Hey guys.
How do I burn a movie that is on my computer so it will work on my DVD player.
My movie file is about 700mb so it'll fit on a DVD for sure.
I have Nero burning software. so that is no problem.
I also have Power iso.
do i need to make a disk image of my movie first? then burn it onto a DVD?
if so, what format do i need to burn it to, a data DVD?
thanks.

What format is the file in?
Personally I uses DVD Flick.
http://www.dvdflick.net/
Free and open source and can take most any codec and turn it into DVD for you.

I use AVStoDVD. It's free and works great, although it does take quite a long time to convert and burn a movie. The resulting file is also considerably larger than the avi file.

Assuming that you have Windows XP or Vista, bring the file into Windows Movie Maker and then "Publish to DVD".
