Is someone able to download this video from CBC.ca? It's just a MarketPlace video about how some companies try to screw us.
http://www.cbc.ca/video/swf/UberPlay...arketplace.jpg
I've managed to filter the URL down to just this:
http://www.cbc.ca/video/swf/UberPlay...pId=1354327087
but since CBC serves up an advertisement before the video, I am having difficulty capturing the FLV stream.
Is anybody able to provide guidance? I'm using Orbit Downloader to try to capture the stream.

Haven't tried on CBC, but maybe VideoDownloadHelper (works on Firefox)?

EDIT:
I've used all 3:
- Orbit Downloader
- Ant Downloader
- Download Helper
and none of them are able to download the FLV from CBC.ca
From what I can tell, CBC serves up an advertisement in FLV, then it serves up a 1 second black screen in FLV format, then it serves up the video. Since the video is not the starting FLV, none of the video download managers is able to detect the second FLV stream.
Can someone else provide guidance?
Here is the original link to the CBC video: http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/2009/s...lace/main.htmlLast edited by lewisamalor; Feb 24th, 2010 at 10:49 AM.

I use Replay Media Catcher.
It's a separate program and will record any stream going into your computer.

I gave up trying to capture CBC streams. I even used one of those URL snoopers ... I think it got the URL, but when I pasted it in Orbit, it wouldn't start.
In any case:
> if you use firefox i use this.
http://www.downloadhelper.net/
downloads ANYTHING that streams from firefox.
= 100% false.
However, it does allow you to capture the ads that CBC serves up before the video you want
.

From JPTN's post, he posted a link to megaupload with the CBC video that I wanted in FLV format. So yes, Replay Media Catcher works.
But from the various torrent sites I've looked at, Replay Video Capture seems to be a more popular product so I downloaded that program instead.
