How to erase CD-RW with Windows XP?
I don't see a CD Writing Tasks panel, how do I do this?

I can see the icons but not the CD writing tasks panel on the left

You might have the classic look turned on which disables any side panels. You need to open My Computer click Tools then Folder Options and click the radio button for Show Common Tasks In Folders. Close My Computer and re-open and you should have all the panels.

Just use a paper clip and scratch the surface. Then destroy the disk.
No.. Actually. When you fire up your CD authoring software such as NERO after pop in your disk. You should be asked if you want to erase the disc when start writing._______________
