just call in and tell them you are looking at moving to Bell. Works every time if it is a residential account in good standing.

My offer expires in a few weeks. What retention offers are available? My previous offer was 20% off Cable and 30% off internet. I am looking for them to match this offer. Any suggestions? I already own all my PVR and Digital boxes, so no need for a free rental.

I only have Cable TV with them now. I was only able to get one year with free HDPVR and free digital terminal, and 15% off my service.

Crap.
My contract ends in March. I too have only cable with them.
Hope I can get what I currently have extended for another year. 1 Free HDPVR + 30% off.

I pushed really hard for the 30% off but she wouldn't give it. She said that offer is no longer available. I probably could've tried again, but I was already on the phone with them for 30 minutes. I am seriously considering ditching cable altogether anyway, so in the future I might just drop to the cheapest plan and figure out an alternative.

My Deal
Called Rogers today, after reading this forum. I was on a monthly plan for the Extended Basic, paying $69/mth, Taxes included.
Got a terrible CSR who offered me a 20% discount, so I ended the call.
Called back and got a GREAT CSR !!!
Told her I had an offer from Bell ( I had called Bell earlier to get a quote - they offered a free HDPVR on a 3 year contract, Better Package $53/mth for 6 months, after that $64).
Told her I was paying too much at Rogers, and had no options but to switch to Bell.
She give me this deal:
Free HDPVR for 1 year (regular rental $25/mth)
VIP Package (regular price $72)
1 year contract
My cost: $56.99/mth Taxes included.
Thanks to all for the info that helped me get this deal !!

My deal was ending tomorrow, so I prepared all day for the dreaded call and ended up getting my best offer yet as a Rogers customer.
One Year Contract:
- 1 free HDPVR
- 30% Digital VIP Cable
- 50% Hi-Speed Extreme (already own modem)
- $10 Off Home Phone Basic +1
Total each month = $133
Thanks again to everyone who contributes because I'm a shy person by nature but the information provided here gives me the confidence to get the best deal!
