Maxim is generally easy to find. I dont think you'll find playboy for free though...

Here is a free sporting news (weekly sports mag). I have received this one in the past so it works. Only problem with it is by the time it gets to my mailbox in Canada its about 3 weeks out of date. Guess you cant be too greedy though.

I signed up for Stuff and Maxim in 2004 for free 4 year subscriptions, so I dont remember that far back as to what the site was I used. All the deals I have used though I have found on either fatwallet or slickdeals.

All I do is sign up with an American address. I use a hotel I stayed at in Dallas a few years ago. Depending on the magazine, you sign in to the site 6-8 weeks later and change your sign-up address to your Canadian one. I have recieved, for free, Maxim, FHM, Stuff, Mens Health, Sporting News and some outdoor magazine (I think its called outdoor life) for a couple of years now delivered right to my door in Ontario.

You have to keep your eyes open for the free offers, but dont be discouraged if they say USA only. Here is a site with most magazine's "change of address page": http://www.sjev.net/magazineaddress.html **Note - this is not a page with free subscription offers, but is a site you can use to change your address when you sign up elsewhere for a free subscription. In my experience it takes 6-10 weeks before you can sign in and change your address.

Make sure you record the exact name and address you sign up with, as you will need this info to change the address. This hasnt worked for me with all magazines, but I can vouch that it works for the 6 I mentioned above.

Hope this helps some out, and if anyone finds a new FHM subscription, let me know as mine expires in a few months.

edit to add one more tip - I use an email address I created just for this purpose. It gets a lot of spam, so dont sign up for these offers with your regular address.

I know there is a site for magazines for 2-3$ but I forgot the name. maybe somebody has it or can find it ? it is something like cheap discount magazines...

I have tried this before and it doesn't work for computer gaming world. I assumed afterwards that it doesn't work for all of them.

Ebay has cheap $2-$3 subscriptions.

Magsforless.com has freebies once in awhile but it's just best to visit Fat Wallet alot.

Yeah happens to me on a lot of deals, it's because of our IP they know we are in canada.

I rarely get an email confirmation. Its very hit and miss. When I sign up for a magazine I mark a spot in my calendar 8 weeks later to remind myself. THen on that day I go to the site and try to change the address. If it works great, if not then Ill put another spot in the calendar 2 more weeks later. If it still doesnt work I just forget about it.
