Promise one of your friends you'll buy them something for under $10 if they agree to wake up and be out of the house by 5 am to drive you to wherever =D. Make sure you guys don't get wasted from celebrating the christmas holidays the night before lol.

how to get to a local store on Boxing Day withou a car ?
As most stores open at 7am when there is no bus service, it looks difficult to me to get to stores before they are open. Walking? Crazy! Too far. Biking? Crazy too. Call a cab? Not sure if I have the luck to grab some dirty cheap stuff.....
Any suggestion?

you don't want to walk or bike
no cab.
then take out that magic carpet and fly...

This isn't a deal and is off topic.
Transportation discussions for your own self, is your problem. Unless you guys want to start up a car-pooling schedule for Boxing Day morning this thread should be locked.
And you also answered your own question, call a Taxi, that's what they are there for.

thank goodness, i am in a smaller city where all the stores are available within a 15 minute drive. (out here, anything further and we pack a lunch!! :-) ) on the boxing day, i'll need to extra time to be standing in line.
hope it works out for you, and have a great day
