I hope when you say throw it out you're referring to recycling it properly and not just garbage.

^^ Like said above, install a custom ROM. That tablet is plenty fast, it is probably just full of the bloatware.

Donate it to your local school. Contact the principal, special education teacher, or tech teacher to find out if there is a special needs student who can use it in some way.

I installed KatKiss. It's not bad.

Wow, the TF101 is only three years old and those things weren't cheap either.

Just do a factory reset and it will be like the day you bought it. This will clear out the 'crap' that has built up and you won't have to get involved with rooting.

Pick One, and install it! since you were thinking about trashing it, give them all a try and decide on the one you like. If you brick the device, you shouldn't care since you were thinking about trashing it anyways right?

I think its an excellent time to give them all a try, then give us all reviews on what ones you like best :)

I have no idea since I don't have a TF101, I have a TF700 and I installed Cromi-x which is excellent. Tablet was next to useless after awhile without a custom rom.
Now Heat ENABLED :)

I have the TF101 and use KatKiss. No, it's not the latest and greatest tablet, but it runs perfectly fine for everyday use with the custom ROM.

Use it as a fancy remote for your smarter devices.
Keep it in the bathroom for the occasional game of solitaire during those long dumps.
