How hard is it to reopen a TD Direct Investing account after closing it?

I recently sold and withdrew all of the investments from my TD Direct Investing TFSA. I don't expect to meet the 15k threshold to waive maintenance fees for quite a while. So I'm planning to close the account. Will TD simply be able to "re-open" my closed account if I choose to go with them again in the future or will I need to apply again from scratch? Will the fact that I closed the account before have any impact on the approval? Thanks.

When an account is closed, it's closed. You'd have to apply for a new one later. Why wouldn't they approve your new account application? They'll gladly take you back.
