I watched the pilot of Firefly today on my way to my grandmothers, and still had enough juice to listen to music on the way home, thats an hour and a half of video, and then about 2 hours of music without charging, it was in the red though, so idk how much longer it would have gone.

yeah I agree from the post above. 30GB Ipod last about 2 hours of video playing and 7-8hrs for music. But hey, it charges faster than my old Ipod Photo

Just saw this thread and I thought I'd be a good place to ask:
Does anyone have a 30GB iPod video that lasts even close to the 14 hours playtime advertised? I just got mine a week ago, and it's maxed out at about 7-8 hours (like someone else posted above). I'm think because I haven't gone through 3 full charge cycles yet (read about this on the net), the battery isn't working at capacity.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, A.-Last edited by Bananafish; Feb 1st, 2006 at 10:59 AM.

Try turning off backlight, loop through a list of low kbps music, don't press FF/RW, turn down the volume. Maybe you will get close to the claimed 14 hrs.
