How much you pay for accounting fees? Non-residence taxes

Hi,

I was wondering how much are you guys are paying for accounting fees. I am not sure if my accountant is overcharging me.

I am currently paying for $300 plus tax for the service to file non-residence taxes for a rental property. The accountant performs two services (1) obtain a NR4 (2) file tax returns, then mails the documents to the CRA.

Please share your experiences with filing non-residence taxes.

Thank you.

Depends where you are located - but generally that's cheap or right on par.

Do it yourself if you think they're overcharging you, and see how that goes.

I get charged only 50 a month for the monthly NR remittance and $300 for the annual return.

If you are not the ultra busy type or do not have money to spare, just do it yourself. $300 isn't a lot. A billable hour can range from $200 to $1000 (depending on level and skill).
