That seems excessive, Are you using baseboard heating or something? Our Hydro bill averages around 140-160- month, thats a family of 5 and our hydro billl shot up about $30 month ever since we got a hot tub.

I agree - when I was living at home with my parents and brother our bill was roughly $150-250 max per pay period..

I'm new to my house but electricity hovers around 80/mth and nat. gas has ranged from 60 to 100/mth. Since I've moved in in July i've averaged approx 160/mth electricity and nat. gas. I'm on a well so i have no water bill.

I have heard many people complain about hydro prices and can not figure out why they are billed so much or what they do to have such high usage (electric heat users excepted).
I have gas heat and hot water, electric everything else, a 2200 sq ft home. I went to the Hydro One website and over the last 2 years I have averaged $71 per month. That includes liberal air conditioning use in the past 2 very hot summers, during the peak times as well.
I really don't change my lifestyle to save energy. I want to be comfortable and do what I need to do when I want to do it.
The Hydro One page has energy savings tips (among many energy savings websites).
