How often you do your laundry as a family?

Please post how many times you do your laundry per week and how many person in your family.

We do 3-4 loads per week which includes clothes, small carpets that can go into laundry machine, bedding, and shower curtains. I feel it is excessive, and I would like to know how you guys with family do it.

Thanks

When I realize I have no pants.
Then tack on a few more days.

Lol. The real question is, how do your underwear outlast your pants.

They don't, but I can always dangle free.
Lack of pants means I'm probably going to jail when I leave the house, especially when combined with the lack of underwear.

Flip the underwear inside out and wear it again on 2nd day.

The best thing though is to not wear underwear at all.

One of the greatest claims of home ownership, is finally getting your own appliances
ESPECIALLY a Washer & Dryer
And being able to give up communal laundry facilities / laundromats
Ever since that happened... 4 decades ago
We’ve gotten into a routine of just tossing a load of laundry in as needed
Like yourself that can cover a lot of categories...
Whites - Delicates - Colours - Darks - Jeans - Towels - Sheets - Other Household Items
In general, it’s a minimum of a load a day
Some big, some small
But NOTHING Beats the convenience

Besides separating out laundry by colour, fabric, water temp, care etc
We don’t put a whole lot in the dryer
Most stuff gets hung up (or hung out in the Summertime) to dry
All in, it’s worth it...
Stuff that is clean and well taken care of
Just lasts longer

one when i wake up and shower (ALWAYS HAVE TOO) and once after i work out (typically mid afternoon to evening).

anyone who wears their underwear from the day after their evening shower to sleep is f'n gross... so gross....

You put your shower curtains in the laundry? I just throw it out and put on a new one. We do it once or twice a week on the weekend, 3-4 load maybe. All my work clothes is one load already. Bedding everyone does it themselves. I do it once every 1-2 weeks. Pillow cases I switch them out every week.
