how to playback mp3s in car without gaps?
I have many MP3 Mix CDs, with like 100 tracks on each. The problem is when I burn them with Nero, and play back as MP3s on my Alpine 7894 incar MP3 player, there are gaps between each track, which is very annoying. Anyway to solve this problem, or will it always be read as data with my car deck?
Thanks

The gap is a limitation of MP3s. You need special software to play them back without the gap. Basically, you're SOL. I don't think any hardware player can do it without gaps. You can always rip the entire CD as one track + cuesheet, although I don't think any hardware player can make use of the cuesheet.

By Gaps do you mean Pauses before it plays the next track..
Does it happen with you like Skip a couple songs and stop on one.. Like a Pause before it plays it?
If so.. its the Car Deck.. There a Million Deck out there like that.
Fosgate are bad with that..
Older Sonys
Some alpines..
Its luck of the Draw. but ya if you burn you MP3's as one song it would be fine, however thats a heck of alot of work for a couple seconds of anoyance._______________

Is there not an option in Roxio that allows/removes the pause?

Jul 30th, 2006 11:22 PM #7You are correct. I just verified this on a car audio forum. The head units out there right now cannot play back mp3's without some sort of gap.

I pretty sure Foobar2000 audio cd writer does that. It requires Nero to burn the disk
