How to port forward from my router?
Question, is it possible to run a portal or do something with my ip so I can download more than one megaupload file at a time with a non premium account? Also, is it possible to do something similar to be able to download more than the daily limit? I want to download 7 files, 1gb each before 12 tonight, but I don't think I'll be able to.
Let me know soon if this is possible please.
EDITED: Read first post on page 2

are you using DSL? if so, you can reset your ip after the limit, i do that all the time for MU/RS.
if you use cable you can do it by proxy which can be a btich.

If this was possible, can you even download 7 gigs in 2 hours? I don't think theres any way of downloading more then one at a time other then maybe playing with proxies and stuff. I know with rapidshare you can just reset you modem to bypass the time limits but I doubt theres a way around grabbing multiple files simultaneously from a single ip addy.

assuming you're talking about command in cmd.exe ipconfig /release etc.
with router, when you release etc it only does it for your LAN ip not WAN ip.
without router, you have to reconnect for DSL anyways since it requires id/pw. cant do it through cmd.exe
so no you need to do it through IE/firefox.

Yea I figured out the command to do it. Thanks to all who helped!
I'm currently on file 2 on this computer, and file 3 on another laptop using a random unsecured network. I think I can finish this in the next 3 hours or so.

AFAIK there is no other way unless you get a premium account.

suppoesdly if u use a program like FDM , free download manager, it SPEEDs up ur downloads , i think it duz work when i last used it ...not really sure
also theres progs that load up proxies and alow u to 'leech' off rapidshare/megaupload sites ... its hassle cuz i don't trust them tho...scanning for trojans/virii risk

I find an RS account is quite useful and I use RS more than torrents now.

there is actually a way to get "free" premium account status with megaupload and that's by using and installing their toolbar.
It gives you the ability to gain "premium" status after a certain time (I think it was 8 or 9pm EST)
HOWEVER, with that said, the toolbar is obviously spyware. So if you're desperate, this could be an option. Of course, the best way to do this would be to install it in a virtual machine using something like Virtual PC or VirtualBox

+1
I use RS so much more than ever. I only went back to torrents like twice. So much time required when on private trackers (uploading and junk). RS is just straight download. Definitely worth the pay.

ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew works fine for me, I'm now on file #6. For those who say a rapid share account is worth it, is there a database to browse all the files and search what you need? If so, then I may think about it.
Does the toolbar give full premium advantages after that certain time? If so, I may take the time to set it up in a virtual machine, as long as I can download as many files I want at once with fast download speeds.

But then you will need to deal with the bandwidth cap of your ISP ...
