How to safely buy tickets from a person?
Hello, I'm thinking of buying concert tickets from a person on Craigslist. How do I know that the tickets i'm receiving are legit and i'm not being scammed?
This is for Lilith Fair, happening this weekend.
Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated!

Why would someone be willing to let you take a picture of their ID for? If I were selling tickets, I wouldn't feel comfortable letting someone take a picture of my Driver's License.

I agree - I buy & sell a variety of items and although I do my best to accommodate people I wouldn't agree on providing a copy of my ID. I'm not even comfortable using my real name & house phone unless they're RFD regulars.
Buying tickets to shows & sports are very complicated. So perhaps the best method is meeting at the venue. For example, I sold Platinum centre court Raptors seats @ 50% off...but that's still $240! Ticket agents & Air Canada Centre cannot verify the ticket unless they punch in the bar code BUT that bar code is "One Time" only meaning it's void after use (this was Feb 2010). If it's scanned before the event, you can't use it afterwards...
So our compromise was asking $10 more and meeting my buyer at the game. When my buyer entered using my tickets he paid on the spot.
