The 1024x576 resolution is kind of annoying. I know it's only 4% smaller, but it matters....

Hackentosh
Perfect laptop for hackentosh though. I got my girlfriend one from Costco about a month ago and everything works great on it. (Using Leopard. Have not tried upgrading to snow leopard yet).

Bought this for wifie a few months back @ Costco when they had a coupon for it. Ended up taking it back under their 90 day satisfaction guarantee. Guy working returns at Costco said they had a lot come back but almost none due to quality issues. Only reason I took it back is that wifie decided she wanted to be able to watch dvd's and this was a no-go on the netbook. Seemed like a decent quality though.

Hmm ... I've saved TONS of money yet I'm still broke. Oh yeah - I've got LOTS of toys to show for my savings. <--- Typical RFD way of thinking

This deal is for the Mini 110 model. It's not 100% compatible with Leopard.
I previously bought the 1139NR model from FS.
1139NR
Pros:
100% Leopard Compatible
Thinner due to 1.8" hdd and non-standard VGA connector
Cons:
1.8" Slow 4200rpm 60GB drive
2 usb ports
requires VGA dongle
110
Pros:
2.5" HDD
VGA port
3 usb ports
Cons:
Thicker
Not 100% Leopard compatible
I revamped my 1139NR. I did the following upgrades:
-Swapped 60GB Drive For 32GB Runcore 1.8" PATA SSD
-2GB RAM
-Added Broadcom Crystal HD Decoder
I love my Mini 1000 better than my Toshiba NB200 and Asus N-10J. It's beautiful, fast and easy to type on. Did I mention 1080p mkv with MPC-HC using the Broadcom Crystal HD?

Does this have an English keyboard? I bought a refurb 1139NR that was returned to Yonge/Dundas Toronto FS open box for $149. Totally YMMV, but couldn't pass it up. Totally working with 10.6.1 Leopard.
But it only has a 3-Cell battery. :S But still. Not sure this is worth $100 more, especially if it has a Bilingual Keyboard.

This has a bilingual keyboard. If yours is a 110-1139NR, you can buy this and swap it for an English keyboard (http://cgi.ebay.ca/NEW-HP-MINI-110-K...item56348c880b). I did and it made a world of a difference.
