Canadian apologists defend our dealess way of commerce with tales of exhange rates, duties, smaller markets, and so on.
For a deal addict living in Canada...seeing all those american deals is pure hell. Makes me appreciate the few times there are better ones here than there :wink:

oh my goodness .. that Staples flyer has $2.94 for a 50 Maxell spindle after MIR!! How come those Americans get such good deals??

I just hate MIRs though.
They're doing scams now where a properly submitted rebate will get rejected (edict by the manufacturer, see PNY et. al) to dissuade people who use coupons on top of the rebate. One screaming match later (with proper documents of course), it magically becomes "valid."

It looks like everything important (processor, RAM, CDRW/DVD, etc.) seems to be the same except that the FutureShop version has 30 gigs of hard drive compared to the US Staples version. Note that in the Staples.com, the same laptop is currently selling for $1299 US so the FutureShop price may not be that bad._______________
