Thread: HSBC Direct Savings Account - cancel or keep it open?

keep the account......It has all the great same features of PC Financial, except the free cheques....but how often do you use cheques? Also when your money is at PC you earn almost no interest, at least if you use HSBC as your main account you get 0.80 interest for your everyday banking.

well u earn 0.75% on pc savings...

Yeah...and look how many people complain about the one day transfer wait and how many people are so frugal they write cheques and do the transfer and the cheque clears sooner than they thought and they get dinged with a 42.50 nsf fee.
Just saying this may be a better option for people who don't need cheques (keep PCF as a backup account)

fair enough, but i m one of the ppl who actually like the 1 day transfer, very effective on impulse purchases
