OK. Since people don't know how to get deals from the US, I marked it US only.

OK I'm gonna give you guys some tips. Why don't you guys get an account from CBIUSA from now on. Order stuffs from US and ship to them. They will have people there to sign/pick up for you. Then you can go there (Niagara) to pick it up at a later date for only about USD6. You'll save a bunch. Just sign up for an account (free). You don't pay anything until you are picking up your order.

Not everyone lives at the border

You can buy this phone from bhphoto with free shipping and prepaid customs, but their price is $249. Don't think they are participating in the $50 off promo

It's common courtesy to mark your posts appropriately - you're a Deal Addict, you should know that.

To be fair to Huawei, please be specific on your comment. Which Huawei phone doesn't work on which network. I thought Huawei phones support most networks on the planet. At least, most of their phones work on Freedom Mobile.

according to BHPhoto, almost all carriers use LTE band 4 except for wind, so what's your definition of terrible?

Personally I'd still go for the Honor 8 for ~250 USD when it goes on sale

LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 8(900), 38(2600) - Global
LTE band 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 12(700), 20(800), 38(2600) - USA
If you go by gsmarena it says that the US version only supports Band 4 for Canada. If you look at the specs of the phone on the website you can see that it is the US variant, so if you're going to buy this phone it will only support Band 4(1700/2100) for some Canadian carrier's.

Edit: Turns out Telus/Bell use Band 2 so using it on Koodo/Public Mobile/Virgin Mobile seems like it wouldn't be bad.

Keep in mind phones don't make phone calls on LTE (unless you have an iPhone or certain carrier provided phones) so you need to check 3G bands for using them as phones. LOL

Doesn't have 3G AWS so won't work on Freedom Mobile

I think this deal is warm considering it will be $200 US + tax. I have the 5X which is the predecessor to the 6x. I really like the phone and found that its pretty good overall. I don't like the EMUI UI but Nova launcher solved that problem. 2gb of Ram is just adequate so the 6X with 3gb Ram will be an improvement.

Fingerprint scanner on the 5x is excellent so I imagine the 6x will be no different. I would consider upgrading to the 6x except for the fact that they changed the dual-sim configuration. In the 5x, it was a tray for sim 1, sim 2 and a separate slot for the microSD card. In the 6x they changed sim 2 slot to a hybrid so it will be either a sim or a microSD card. That was a deal breaker for me and I don't feel like diy'ing the sim and SD card together.

An alternative to the 6x could be the ZTE Blade V8 Pro which is comparable. It is available for preorder from Newegg.com for $230 US no tax and free shipping within the US.

I actually ordered from Amazon. It sat in the "preparing for shipping" stage. Came across this thread and got lucky cancelling the order :) - for $50 US I can wait another week.

OP thanked! :D
