Huffy Portable Basketball System @ Zellers $152
I purchased a Huffy Portable Basketball System (Model 66440) at the Westmount Zellers in Edmonton yesterday.
Original price was ~$379
Clearance price: $304
All clearance sporting goods 50% off sign made it $152. I signed up on the spot for a Bay (Zellers) CC and the lady gave me another 10% off.
Warning: The box is big and heavy. The backboard is 52". It took me a long time to put the beast together, but I did it alone. With 2 people it would have gone much faster.

Hopefully it's not only at the one Zellers store. The Westmount store where I got mine had at least 3 left yesterday. You may have to ask them about it. The 50% discount sign on clearance sporting goods was stuck to a treadmill or something. I asked and she told me that anything in the section with a yellow tag qualified. She had to manually input the discount though

I seen a nicer system at Costco think its by Reebok has the adjustible height for the net. pretty nice for just under 300$

I went to the Westmount Zellers to pick one up, but the '50%' tag that was on the treadmill apparently applied to fitness equipment only. Spoke with customer service and the manager and no dice - treadmills, rowers, stair-climbers, etc only, even though they had a two more of those particular 66440 backboards in the same 'room' (in fact, more were on the floor too -- about 6 total in the store)
You got a great deal, but unfortunately I think it was a one time shot. Reply With Quote
