Anyone has experience with either the Electrolux or the Husky one?

How big is your house? Curious to see how the power is.

Some reason the link doesn't work for the $100 off one. :(
My house is about 2400 sq ft, on 3 levels..........power is more than enough............no, I managed to get $100 off in the store when I bought it, it was on one of their coupons that comes out (or that they had out at the door), that was probably back in the summer of last year

Since both vacs, the one on sale now and the one coming on sale at the end of the month are good units, What are the cons of each?
One Pro for the Husky one is the warranty period. Especially 3 years of labour. Anyone has experience on how they handle service calls?

Warranty:
10 year warranty – all components of power unit
3 year labor (residential use only) – all components of power unit
3 year warranty – high end accessories

I called HuskyVac (Nuera Air) and no service centers in my area, closest one is 650 km away. Might have to get the Electrolux.

I'm also interested in getting a central vac system. Been looking at the Electrolux one for $499.99 in store but was also wondering if the extra $100.00 for the Husky Storm is worth it when it goes on sale on March 30th.

The 499 one is not on sale but seems like a good deal. Comes with a garage hose too. Anyone knows how much a garage hose will cost?

Husky Storm electric kit March 30 to April April 12 at $599, $150 off for shipped.
Hope to see discounts in stores
I was doing some research on this model and it seems like it has got very good reviews. I was debating between this and the Nilfisk 250 at a local store($850 with accessories) but at $599 it is a no brainer for me.

EDIT: Husky Storm is now on sale http://www.costco.ca/Husky-Storm-Centra ... 18315.html

I'm thinking of getting the Husky Storm Central Vac as well. I'm assuming that I can just remove my old central vac and install the Husky one and the existing "plumming" and connections..
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Anyone had experience dealing with them in terms of service calls?

For central vacs, would the usual Costco return policy apply? As in, if it breaks after 1, 2, 5 years, etc., just bring it back to the store??

Who knows but I doubt it will apply after the warranty period.

Why don't you ask them?

I doubt it. Maybe after a year. 2,3 years down the road oft likely not. Since there no husky service locally I'll probably buy a different brand.

I received the Husky vacuum yesterday and noticed that the top of the box was missing the staples from the factory and was taped. After looking through the contents I noticed the vacuum was not securely seated, half the accessories were missing and the other half were incorrect and generic parts not relevant with the accessories inckuded Husky.

Thank you Costco for shipping me a used vacuum with missing and incorrect accessories! Now I have to waste more time with returning and having them ship another.
