^I'd go Korean over a garbage manure GM any day.

Looks slightly bigger than the current Santa Fe "XL" and will most likely replace that thing, as it still has the last gen body.

Needs a better engine than that 3.8L though, as it really needs to be wrung out in the XL. The 3.3T should be an option.
The Santa Fe XL had the 3.3L I believe. This is basically the base 3.8L V6 from the Genesis G80 detuned on the Atkinson cycle.

"At 4,980 mm long, it’s 76 mm longer than the Santa Fe XL."

The Palisade will slot above the Santa Fe and replaces the Santa Fe XL after the 2019 model year.

Yah, I'm not digging it either. First look and QX80 came to mine especially the rear quarter end.

Hyundai has everyone beat until the warranty runs out, then keep your fingers crossed or sell it. And be prepared to take a bath on the selling price.
Go on any Hyundai forum and check out engine issues. They're common, and serious.

I feel so bad for hyundia/kia, all they do is try to take the best outside features from other brands and frankenstein it instead of coming up with their own little niche. You just have to be the best at one thing

I had no issues with either of my previous Hyundai vehicles - both were traded in after 7 and 8 years respectively.

I got $8000 from Audi on my 7 year Tucson which had 106,000 km on it... I paid $29,900 for it, all-in. Could probably gotten at least $10,000 privately. Imo, getting 1/3 back after 7 years is pretty good.

That said, I think this is an unattractive vehicle.

I get that the front end is polarizing, but you can't deny the interior is freaking nice for a non-luxury SUV.

It also has optional heated and cooled seats in the SECOND row. Hyundai is continuing to push the rest of the industry.

"Korean quality" might not be as good as Japanese, but still much, much better than European or American cars.
you have no clue what you're talking about.

No, I have no clue what YOU'RE talking about. Quality is subjective. For most people, quality = reliability. Go ahead, please show me how a 10 year old A4 is more reliable than a 10 year old Accord.
They're separate descriptors for a reason.

Just because a Mitsubishi Mirage may be reliable, hardly makes it a quality vehicle. Polar opposite in fact.

Sure, but not the way the other guy was using the word quality. Does "German quality" mean amazing quality regardless of make or model?
Every make has bad models.

Does "Japanese reliability" apply to every make and model? You need to apply this both ways.

Of course not.

I never said anything about "Japanese reliability" at all. I mentioned a specific model.

It was @daivey that brought up "Korean quality" lmao.
