It'll be hard getting a discount because stock levels are really low, wait times for orders are 2-3 months.

what kind of mileage did you get from your Veloster? Mind to share your driving habit? I am thinking about the GT later this year but I heard drivers get below EPA estimated mileage from Hyundai GDI engine.

have had my veloster for a couple of months. No major issues. Gas Mileage a little worse than expected but I don't drive the conservatively.

it had all the features I was looking for, for the right price. I had a budget of $20k before tax (or wait 4 months and save up). Paid $18,500 before tax.

Now that I see the Elantra GT, I think that could have been a better choice. But to get the electronics I wanted, will likely have been a 25K car.

It's almost impossible unless the conditions are perfect or you're always driving on the highway.

There are many who actually expect to get the estimated mileage, one of them just won the case in small claim against Honda (this week?). But I am not one of them, still I heard people say Hyundai seems to overstated the EPA figure and want to hear from actual owners.

Thanks for the good info. I had a Civic too, so I know how well it can do and what to expect from the 1.6L GDI engine.

Mind if I ask what your driving history is? I was quoted around that price for a 3.8GT Genesis Coupe last year. There isn't much difference but I was hoping the Veloster would be classified as a sedan rather than coupe.

just a FYI update, I sold some velosters 2-3 weeks ago and we order the car for customers but it still has not been allocated yet. The velosters we sold in early jan are suppose to arrive in april/may, sigh, seems like a long wait again!1
