Yes Eager Beaver, I completely agree on both counts. I remember my brother and I spitting those seeds at each other on summer afternoons when my mom would kick us out to play, and I really really miss that deep yellow corn on the cob that tasted of corn (how novel!) and not just sweet, sweet, sweet.

Chances are alot of these brands that disappear have been replaced by in house brands. They realize they have pushed the "downsize" to the limit. Now they discontinue good selling products replacing them with their own brands.

I remember the good old days with 1Kg cheese bars, occasionally having 1.2Kg bonus size. Know they are 400g for the same cost

What are you going to do with 1kg cheese except get really constipated?

Processed cheese these days will. Even Cracker Barrel changed their "Old" recipe. It used to be brittle and crumble, now it's the same as Black Diamond.

Used to buy 3 year old white Balderson cheddar from Foodbasics 1Kg for $9.99. They took it off the shelf and replaced it with their house brand, $11.99 for 800g.

Anywhere I can still find Prego? It used to be everywhere when I was growing up in the 90s. I know it’s not really a popular sauce anymore but it’s my go-to comfort food and I’m having trouble finding it at Shoppers, Metro, Loblaws, or No Frills. Help.

Their Canadian web page is still active. (that's a good sign!) but I agree Prego seems to be scarce and hard to find these days. ➡ https://www.campbellsoup.ca/our-brands/ ... go-sauces/
I'd try contacting them. (Campbell's makes Prego) Hopefully they have some good news for you: https://www.campbellsoup.ca/contact-us/

Spotted at Burnaby Costco.
Plus also, it is not a .97 price so you know Costco intends to keep Prego around in their stores.
(.97 ending for any price is Costco code for "It's gotta go! Now or never deal!")

Hello,
i went to a few No frills in my area, and none had PC Gourmet BBQ sauce in stock. seeing both cleaned out, had a feeling it was discontinued.

According to comments on this page, they've been gone for months.

Can anyone confirm that it won't be returning? or post a reply with "local" stock? i'm in the GTA, and would definitely travel a large distance to restock.

Thanks

This is a bit of a guess, but they may have decided that BBQ sauce does not sell as well in the winter.
Perhaps in the spring they'll bring it back??

All the best products are always discontinued:

big new yorker from pizza hut, bonkers, o'ryans chips, taco bell supreme doritos, fruit roll ups that are just one color/flavor, sunkist fruit wrinkles, arch deluxe, crispy chicken deluxe and on and on and on.

Some things go away, but then come back eventually.
FYI Bonkers is back!

^lol i've been following that facebook page for years I dont think anybody wants bonkers back more than I. I'm pretty sure it's a scam because every year they'll post an update about testing a batch and how it's just a matter of time and then... nothing, and this has been going on for like 8 years now.
