The $1 off coupon is a joke in the app. Do not use that people, they must realize by statistics that it's a stupid offer.

The 50% off poutine is back in Québec this week, way better...

It's cheaper if you keep the receipts and do the survey. You get free medium drink and fries with purchase of a sandwich. This actually ends up cheaper than using the meal coupons.

I stopped going, even though I like the food, so I make something similar at home for much cheaper.

when using coupons, the prices are not that bad.. especially if you compare it to increase in minimum wages..

Minimum wage in 2004 - $6.85...Big Mac Combo with coupons were 4.49

Minimum wage in 2016 - $11.25...Big Mac Combo with coupon is 5.49

basically a 40% increase in wages...but only an 18% price increase in a Big Mac Combo....so relatively speaking, McDonalds is not that expensive

In 2004 I was able to use a Big Mac combo coupon for $3.99, but only once, then it went to $4.49 that same year.
I think they had another burger combo for $3.99 in 2005. I remember the coupon, but I can not confirm that it was a Big Mac for the price.
McDonald's is expensive, based on regular menu prices. The coupons are ending Feb. 5, so hopefully the app will have something good to offer...

Interesting info that I discovered (interesting maybe just for me): the coffee/beverage cup sizes are printed on the bottom of the cups.

I see the small is 10 oz and large is 20 oz. McD's nutritional info on their website says the medium is 442 ml or 15 oz.
New coffee cup size just came out this week - XL (24 oz). Sorry, I didn't catch the pricing on it.

The new size is not yet on the Canadian website. ( http://www.mcdonalds.ca/ca/en/menu/full ... offee.html#/ ) so I'm guessing it's select locations only, or only in the States...
I did check their website as well before I posted and didn't see it. I physically saw them today, so probably select locations in Canada for now. Maybe prepping for something to compete with Timmies RUTRTW which started today? :)

The beverage size changes from Country to Country. I wonder what the coffee cup sizes are... lol

That seems high for US McDonalds. Were you in tourist trap area like Disney?

ETA: I looked online, and it seems that McDonalds prices for their meals in the US has gone up a lot. I lookes specifically at states I visit (NY, California and Florida).

Coupons in the post save a few bucks, but when I go there with my wife and son, he has the happy meal and we get two meals or I get a burger and poutine my bill is close to $20.

I'm really shocked the amount of people without much money can afford to go in there all the time, it isn't a cheap place to eat anymore.

I can get 3 schwarma's for cheaper, or buy a whole chicken at Metro with some sides and have money left over.

What happened to Mcdonalds being cheap and nasty? Now it's nasty and expensive
