I have a serious issue on my 335XI with the locks and gas door--they don't open at all. The only door that I can open is the driver door with a key. That is also the only door people can enter and escape from at any time even in an emergency. I'm not 100% what the problem is that's why I wanted to take it to BMW to check it out and also service was due. BMW Autohaus is close to me and the rest are far.
Appointments were booked for a month or so and they said they'll call me back when one is free. After two weeks, I called again and said that I'd just book a date but they insisted that they will call back. A week passed by and asked them again about it and they said they'll call back again. I was being patient, there was never an argument, never asked for priority nor did the girl ever get mad. After, the service manager wanted to talk to me regarding it. A few days ago I talked to him and he said my account is flagged and am banned from BMW Autohaus and cannot go there anymore. He wouldn't tell me why, so I had to call corporate who called Autohaus who explained to corporate that I kept "annoying" them for appointments. I don't know if the service receptionist thought I was being rude, or was a having a bad day because as far I know I called once or twice a week within a month and a half at most. I said I would apologize to her but he said there is nothing that can be done.
Last time I went there for service one of their employees hit my car in their parking lot and totalled my door. However they did pay for everything, lent me an X6, and the service consultant was very nice to me (who still is) and assured me that there would be nothing written about it. Never had a complaint and never discredited their service department despite smashing my entire door and all the negative reviews online.
I'm planning to report this to the BBB and just visiting a local car shop if they can fix the issue. But until then the horror stories of BMW Autohaus are true and I guess they don't want my business either. Being banned trying to get an appointment... seems like a first.

That's good news. You can now go to a REAL dealer to have car serviced. Parkview would be next closest. Although their quality of service has gone down in comparison to a few years ago, at least they treat you like a customer.

something is missing from the puzzle...i highly doubt a dealership will have all appointment slots booked up for a month and never called you back to get you in....

All depends on timing. Typically, Autohaus would have a two weeks appointment advance window. BMW Toronto would probably be three weeks. That's usually for routine type of repairs. But if this is really an emergency, some dealers will have a time slot within 2 days period to look at your car. Just based on my past experience in both of these dealerships.

What are all these RFD people doing with BMW's? I thought this is a deals forum.
A car is the worst purchase you can make in terms as a depreciating asset.

Over one month and for an appointment? After reading this, my first thoughts were:
BMWs are terribly unreliable and that's why the service dept is overloaded or This dealer is an absolutely disorganized trainwreck.
Am I missing something here?

Not all of us want to drive beige Corollas.
In all seriousness OP, your lock issue is likely the fuse problem well documented on E90post.com
You can try replacing the fuse first if you're desperate. I don't have the direct link as I'm on my phone. I'll try to post it later.

Wow sorry to hear this. You should write a complaint letter to BMW Corporate and the dealership as well. Poor customer service. There is no law or hard and fast rule that a dealer can ban a customer by having calling the service department to book an appointment.
Never experienced this with Ford and Audi as I am the person who does the same thing as you if I never here back._______________

You should speak to Corporate as that story doesn't sound right. Either there's something you left out of the story or serious corrective measures need to take place at BMW Autohaus.
My service experience with BMW has been very smooth since the Quinns took over BMW Toronto (same guys who own Parkview). Good enough that I would stick with BMW over an Audi or MB if the cars were remotely comparable in their appeal. I've found that if you don't like your dealer, it's a PITA to go to another...
