I have 200 stuffed animals...
through a series of coincidences I have acquired (or will shortly) a couple of hundred stuffed animals (toys)...They are brand new...not corporate/branded...I am looking at trying to find a suitable charity/organization to donate them too and I am located in Edmonton at the moment.
Any thoughts? I was thinking a childrens hospital or maybe saving them until Christmas and giving them out in care packages?
edit: 8000 posts..not a bad one either to hit the mark on if I do say so..._______________

I think the Children's Hospital is your best bet! Saving them until Christmas is just a hassle, you'll have to store them somewhere.

I'd also suggest the children's hospital or something like that.

I used to collect (and sell) TY Beanie Babies and when I ended up with a ton of extras, I donated them to my local hospital and they doled them out as needed.

I'm sorry, I'm still trying to figure out how someone can coincidentally come upon 200 stuffed animals......
you went to Chuck E. Cheese, and while playing skee-ball, Chuck came up behind you and touched you inappropriately. the 200 stuffed animals is your hush money. but the more you think about them, the dirtier you feel. However, if they could go to a good cause, it would relieve your demons, and help you move on, just like it did during the Disneyland incident.
anyways, I don't know what organizations they have in Edmonton. I'm sure they have a Ronald McDonald house there. unless of course....you had a bad experience at McDonald's....._______________

Donate to whoever gives you the largest donation amount receipt.

Naive question I suppose, but you mean to say that when you give a non-monetary donation you can get a tax receipt? I knew they did that in the US but hadn't realized they do in Canada. I have never been given a receipt for any of my non-monetary donations (nor have I asked for one). Sheesh
