WOW!!!! This was on sale for $500 last month and I though it was cheap then! If I didn't have a 37" I'd be jumping on this right now
Cheap Cheap!

I-Inc iF-281DPB 28" LCD Monitor HDMI $399 @ TD
Was looking for a good deal on 24" and came across this.
The formula is:
TD + Unknown Brand = Take your chances
Reviews are okay, not great. I would've got one but it's too big for me.

Complains about uneven back lighting (uber halo effect) and dead/stuck pixels. You'll probably have to return it at least once to find one with perfect pixels.
Also, no DVI input??

dead pixels
Well while I can not discriminate against people that do not mind one or 2 dead pixels to me even 1 dead pixel on any lcd would be too much :P
they stick out like a sore thumb - i borrowed my friend`s laptop that he has been using for 2 years and found him 16 dead pixels that he was not even able to notice...
( earned him a replacement lcd screen from toshiba as a result)
it was a 15 or 17 inch screen with a 1600x1200 - can`t remember but the point is the pixels were the size of a pin prick and still i spotted them
Maybe it is just me but even 1 pixel is not acceptable regardless of screen size
and this 28 inch monitor has .3dpi so one dead pixel would look like a fly sitting on the screen ( and stuck pixel like a firefly lol )
IT IS SOLELY MY OWN OPINION - some people can live with dp some can`t.
That`s life.Last edited by P2nadea; Aug 19th, 2008 at 03:37 AM. Reason: wrong lcd size

Panel might be weak a little but hmm still tempting for a 28" LCD. Hanns-G makes a nice 27 or 28" model. Are you guys sure it's not the same panel? http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...143&CatId=3774
Is it a TN panel? What about gaming, any ghosting?Last edited by Koslov; Aug 19th, 2008 at 09:34 AM.

Very tempting I would love to have a 28" monitor, but I think I would just end up playing more games then I allready do.

Posted to the front page. Thanks!
Also, the I-Inc product page here: http://www.i-inc-usa.com/Product/if281.htm lists 160/160 degree viewing angles, indicating a TN panel. Then again, it's 28" for $399, so it would be completely insane if it was an MVA or IPS panel.Last edited by AndrewRFD; Aug 19th, 2008 at 09:52 AM.

Price-wise it's good, quality-wise it received ok reviews...but certainly not the same amount of Dell & Samsung owners. Feedback can be skewed.
TigerDirect can be difficult to deal with so if you want this LCD make sure you consider service & warranty. Don't buy it just because it's $399+TAX.

It's a TN panel by the way. If it was a local deal I'd buy it , but shipping and taxes kills it. + TD customer service is just horrible.
