I need find an old 3D game pre 1998
I need to find an old 3D game, I forgot when it released or the name of the game.
It is similiar to FPS, I don't see my body or face, roughly before half life 1, before Unreal 1, after Quake 1. It has guns, but what made it unique is you can have magic spells, you can kill enemies with salt or blood. It has many magic spells as well, but I can only remember it has salt and blood. IIRC, if I use blood spell, enemies will have blood streak shooting out of their body. If you use salt, it will melt the enemy.
It is one of the early 3D games that it will leave bullet holes on the wall and have bullet shells recoil from your gun.
It is not a popular 3D game, it is PC game, I think it requires video card 32MB or less.
A little rant, recent FPS games are not scary at all. I played Doom 3 and F.E.A.R., it makes me sleepy. I more like the games such as the one I mentioned above or system shock 2. Unfortunately, none of these games are top sells.Last edited by G.H.; Feb 11th, 2006 at 10:08 PM.

it is not heretic, Hexen, those are not true 3D, and they don't have guns. It is after hexen.

I feel the same way.
Newer generations have all the graphics and fancy dancy stuff, but they are all lacking something.
I loved Quake 2. It was my all time favorite game, horrible graphics in todays standard, but un-rivaled playability.
UT 2k4 is pretty fun. Download the bonus maps. They will have a map that is shapped like a bedroom (for example) and your about the size of an ant
those are fun!
I have played Quake3, HL, HL2, Doom3 etc etc. I am trying HL 2 but am unsure if I like it yet. Doom 3, I thought was just a horrible game.
Though I can't help you find the game your looking for, I think our interest in gaming is very similar. You might like UT2k4
