Since you don't care about having dedicated graphics, how about taking a look at the T430 here: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/us-de...000-a-1271771/? You'd have to drop by Buffalo's CBI though since it's for Lenovo US.
The TP is the most iconic, customizable, solid (military grade) of the bunch while the HP looks pretty cheap all around. The hybrid drive and thinness make the Asus pretty sleek though.
I am a TP fan because once you've used its red trackpoint, you'd never want anything to do with a touchpad ever again.Last edited by cn_habs; Dec 12th, 2012 at 03:21 AM.

I am seeing some good deals on the Dell website, I'm just wondering if I will hold off until the boxing week sale or just pull the trigger. I wanted an alienware.

I wish the Dell xps was under 600
. Best looking ultra book Imo. I might get an Asus one, or maybe hold out till the haswell update next year and get a macbook or updated Asus, maybe even the lenovo u410 if they fix all the flex issues.

Does anyone know if there are laptops out there that aren't ultra books (don't have ulv processors) that offer good battery life ? 4-5 hours at least ? And light weight ? I do not really want an ultra book because they are certainly more expensive and less powerful. Anyone could help me out ?

Definitely Relevant to my interests. It's time to buy my first laptop, and all I'm looking for is an ultrabook that does internet and word. I've never paid attention to laptop prices, do they drop significantly this time of year?
