this is enough to kill the deal for me, 1-year older + used + all the hassles and still $1000+ after tax?
For those who might not know... as title says... $965 tax in for m3 256gb. As others said, it’s essentially brand new for ones they’ve received (single digit battery cycle count)
Deals never wait for people, only people wait for deals.
Buy now, think later.

These are essentially same quality as apple refurb quailty. And if you do get a bad unit you can return it for free within 7 days. Just bring it to purolator.

Well, I bought a 256gb and a 512gb unit for $2011.98 all in. Please tell me where you'd buy these 2 Macbooks with only 3 battery cycles on them and not even a single fingerprint, BOTH for $2000 tax and shipping incl.....?

I was going to treat myself with a 2017 M3 Macbook, but I can't justify the 300$ price difference with a 2017 apple refurb vs IBM.

I'd love to jump on this deal but I would die of shame if IBM calls me and I have to tell them I don't know any employee.

From what I've read in other threads, there might be ways to make this work other than knowing an employee. I work for a small business that is an IBM partner and my gf works in education, does anybody know if that would work? Or is there and IBMer around who could vouch for me?

You need to either provide the name and/or promo code for the employee pricing, or submit small business address and website.

has anybody who ordered this round got a shipping notification yet?
I only got an email with a pdf letting me know they have accepted the order and will get back to me again in 3-5 days. This was sent to me on Monday. Nothing else.

At what stage were you at? Had you been told it was shipped yet?

They don't email you shipping notification. You can either use the 6 digit order # as track by reference on UPS or talk to csr to get actual tracking #. But only after the macbook reached canada and is handed to UPS. It shipped from US.

For those who might not know, these are the 2016 model. I have two from IBM since April, mint condition, came in with 8 and 10 cycles, no issues till now, superb device for travelers :)
But it says "Processor/Speed: Intel® Core™ M—5Y51 1.10 GHz" which is in the MB 2015 Model...

Where do you see it says 2016 models?

If you look a couple of lines below it states 1.2 Ghz.

The page is not presented well.

Aha, I wasn't interested in that model. Is the price quoted the same at $1122?
