I just checked the EPP site, and it says that starting December 23 at 10am, the EPP site will have a Boxing Week blowout for Thinkpads and Thinkcenters. You might want to keep an eye on the site tomorrow at 10 am.

Hurry up and buy these old stock before the new bunch comes out that is made by an entire different Chinese company.....in case you don't know, IBM sold their desktops and notebooks business completely to a Chinese company...who knows what the quality is gonna be like..

after watching ibm for months my personal feeling is that they'll just offer more of the same. I've been watching the restocks and they don't seem to do t42ps anymore

not true. IBM has the roadplan lined up till t50s. T43s are already configered and ready to be press released in 3 weeks. Lenovo will try their hands on desing after t50s are done

Don't post BS like that about the quality. I can attest 90% of the appliance in your home is made in China, regardless of brand.

Why are you implying that the quality will become worse after the Chinese company takes over? If a German or French company bought the IBM pc division, would you say the same thing?

Is it just because the company's is based in China, you think is inferior? Your realize most gpus are made in Tawain, aka TSMC right? The best motherboards are also made by Chinese companies.....
