If I buy a Hardrive from the US, does the manufacturer's warranty work in Canada?

I'm trying to buy a Samsung 840 pro 128gb SSD drive.
It's cheaper on ebay from the US with shipping included, so i'm looking to buy from there. Does anyone know if I need to RMA it, I can do it from Canada?

Also, do I need any receipts or anything for the manufacturers warranty, or is the serial number sufficient?

Most companies don't allow warantees to work cross border like that. Mostly because it's one of the mechanisms they use to enforice different pricing zones.

What did you learn when you read the warranty for the product in question?
