There have been so much drama recently due to all the shootings, at the Eaton Center, over the weekend, but it is not so bad compared to elsewhere, at least you don't live in these areas, that is where the real danger is at:

On the news they said that there is 200 000 registered guns in Toronto.
Only the bullets that hit their targets get reported. Also how many robberies happen at gun point? These can be useful statistics as well.Last edited by cheapmeister; Jul 3rd, 2012 at 05:48 PM.

By what criteria is Toronto 'bad for shootings'? Compared to any other North American city of similar size there's barely anyone shooting people here. I know people here are frightened pussies who love to turn molehills into mountains, but rampant gun violence just isn't an issue in this city.
_______________
Could HAVE, not could OF. What does 'could of' even mean?

In Alberta's cowboy days there was a rule that upon release from jail, the newly released was to be taken out of town and given a gun.

IMO Toronto is a pretty safe city.
Idiots are more likely to die driving than from a stray bullet, so I have no idea why people make such a huge fuss about the gun crime.

I would wager 90% of the gun violence in Toronto is gang related. If you are not in a gang and you live nowhere near gangs, then you are relatively safe in Toronto.
The Eaton Center incident was gang related and involved an incredibly stupid criminal. You can't stop stupidity like that.

And I would wager that 0 of those 200,000 Registered guns are not used for robberies or any other illegal activities.
People need to travel more if they think Toronto is a violent city. Yes there are some shootings, but in Chicago, LA, NY and all the other big US cities they have a couple shootings a day, we have one or two ever other week.

Toronto isn't an unsafe city by any stretch. No Canadian city even makes the top 10 for North America's most dangerous cities.

I almost got shot last night near Bramalea and Knightsbridge (near Rabba). Decided to take a short-cut and this saved my life!! The shooting happened near a side walk and two cars were hit. I think they fired at least 10 bullets...I am so glad no one was hurt

the most shocking thing was the sound!! It sounded like firecrackers and not the stuff you hear in movies and gamesLast edited by ssharm02; Jul 4th, 2012 at 01:16 PM.
