Thread: IFIC Course

Where do I signup for the IFIC course? I don't know much about it except that it's a mutual fund course. Is there any benefit to take this course if I already have the CSC ?

More than likely my employer will reimburse the costs if I pass.

If you already did CSC, there's no real point in doing IFIC unless you're really going to specialize in mutual funds.

Is CSC more useful or more demanding than IFIC?

If you have your CSC the banks would prefer that over the IFIC course. No need to do it if you have already done your CSC

Does any one know how long IFIC / IFC certificate is valid for after passing the exam? Can't seem to find it anywhere online.

I only know CSC is valid for 3 years unless its registered with IIROC / MFDA.

I'm already a student of ifse. On Oct 30, 2010 my course will be ending; but I'd like to extend my course for 3 months more.
Does anyone know how could I extend it online at ifse.ca ?

I checked on the OSC website and it looks like it's 3 years for IFIC too. But it might be worth emailing them to make sure.

When you log in I believe "Extend this Course" should me in the main menu.
If it's not, you should email their support immediately. It says in the FAQ it must be done 14 calendar days prior to the course end.
