Ignoring a user should prevent you getting e-mails

Users on my ignore list, when they quote a post, I still get an e-mail showing what they said and that they responded.

Kind of defeats the purpose of an ignore button.

Can this be looked into?

Completely agree with you. It should also block their posts when quoted in other peoples responses. Both are features we're hoping to add in the future.

Would people on my ignore list be able to see and respond to my threads or posts?

Currently yes. You wouldn't see their response though. Ignore only works 1-way.
