The counters at Ikea are sub-contracted to a local supplier and they mark up about 20%, so you can save a few bucks per foot by sourcing it yourself if you have the time to go directly to the factory.
Does anyone know who the supplier is for Ikea laminate counters? I'm looking to replace only the counter top in my place.

I think their regular price is around $18 a linear foot so if anyone knows of a cheaper place to buy them let me know!

They make their own laminate counters. Their granite, stone, and solid surface options are externally sourced. In Vancouver, they seem to be offering Hanstone and Staron. I believe they're sourced and installed by an external supplier. They're quite expensive compared to a countertop place.

The prices for the laminates are pretty reasonable, however; but I've heard mixed reviews on its quality. I'm pretty happy with it so far but it's just a laundry room.

Just bought my cabinets at Home Depot today, got a great deal. Cost me $1250 plus tax for my U shaped 11' X 8' kitchen. Cabinets are Mill's Pride and are 40% off, had to go to three Home Depots to collect everything I wanted, so stock is limited. I have the champagne oak cabinets with Sherwood oak doors and they seem to be good quality

Eastop Counters on Lancaster Rd. You might want to check out their discontinued stock...they offered a 7 ft counter with normal cuts for $100 to me once.

Just need them to go on sale or offer the 10% giftcard like last year. Anybody know if Ikea's having a kitchen cabinet sale coming up anytime soon?
Just called Ikea & their next kitchen promo will be coming up end of Feb. - beginning of March  We are in need of some Nexus black-brown laundry cabinets :D

Ikea will be having their event in the next couple of weeks until Nov 1st. Does anyone know who the local supplier in Ottawa is for the Quartz countertops.

What's the event? I am looking to redo the kitchen in my suite. About 9x10.

20%? Would this be cross Canada. If so for me its a good deal since I have a few things to buy there.

I have not heard 20%. The last sale was 15% and that was the biggest kickback promo they ran for kitchens.

I think dampers are $3 per door and $10 per drawer. They're not cheap but HD sells the door ones for twice the price. Also, I cheaped out in the laundry room and used 1 damper per drawer instead of the recommended 2. Saved $5 per drawer and they work fine (close is faster but still quiet if you don't slam it). Not sure how long they'd last though. :D

Does anyone know who else sells the dampers in GTA?

Thanks,
