Regular $179 but goes on sale for $99 regularly.
Got one for $79 a couple months back. $49 is really hot

Great price for a solid pine coffee table. This price drop brings it down to the same price as the comparably-sized Lack coffee table, which is all particleboard.

Is it easy to remove the paint and repaint or stain the table? Colours aren't great.

I would be surprised if the plain pine is varnished

I picked one up in Edmonton last month for $79. Good sturdy coffee table, but takes a bit to put together and dings really easy, especially if you have a 1yr old that is very inclined to banging things to make the loudest sound possible.

Dings easily because it is made of pine, which is a relatively soft wood. You have to be pretty gentle with it to keep it looking good for the long term. Good thing is you can just buy some wood filler from Home Depot, sand down any dings, chips and dents because Ikea has the paint/stain in store you can buy that colour matches the product.

It's a good find but imo nobody would pay 180 for this. It's like a 29 dollar lack table with frills. No?

I have this at home and it's really good for its price. Solid buy at $50.

Even if I don't need a coffee table I'd get it.

I have a lack table too and the difference is night and day.

You're right, no one should buy it at $180 - I'd consider that the glorified price. It's usually at $99 but rarely goes down to $79. $49 is a no-brainer for a large, solid wood coffee table.

No, this is still solid wood, even though not a high quality wood type. LACK furniture have a laminated plastic veneer of sorts over corrugated cardboard interior. I'm not knocking on LACK however. I bought their 9.99 side table and I have a 50lb computer sitting on it for the last 6 years. The table weighs nothing itself but can hold a lot of weight. I guess that's a thing with corrugated cardboard?

lol, best you can do is just tell them not to and hope for the best. Kids will be kids...the stuff I did to my folks furniture running Transformers and GI Joes all over them.
