Im about to get my G-2, But i need some driving lessons....

Hey, im 23 and i can go get my G-2 Today if i want....

But i think i should take a few lessons first....


Now, i DONT want 24Hrs. Classroom crap!
I just want someone to come to my door,let me drive around (Tell me if im doing anything wrong) and teach me what i need to know for the G-2 Test!

is there a place anywhere in Scarb. that does this? (Under $500?)

just call any driving instructor and tell them you want some driving lessons. should be like 25bux a hour from when i took it. but y dont you want to take those package lessons of like inclass instruction and driving time? you get the certificate that cheapens your insurance and its only like 300bux inclusive for that 10hr driving and 10hr classroom

The class room session is pretty much for insurance purpose. Without that, your insurance premium will be quite a bit higher. Consider that a necessary evil

if you're gonna get a car, goto the inclass lessons..its not for learning anything, but strictly insurance purposes.

plus most in class lessons offer a variety of safety films from the 70's which are just hillarious to watch

A question regards to insurance discounts.

Will it matter whether you're a primary or secondary driver? Or will you get a discount either way?

Basically im applying to be secondary under my dad and if theres no discount then i wont bother with the g2 classes.

How do you know drives? If you don't have a car....

But if you do have a car, what don't you just use that car ?

Or you are talking about G licence ?

have you gotten your G1 for more than a year now? without the classroom time you won't be able to go take your G2 test but if you want the class time without actually attending class therer are some driving schools that do that but if you are just looking for an instructor to give you a car to drive pretty much any driving school has that...
BTW, going to those classes doesn't save you alot of $$$ on insurance, if you really don't have the time for it and you are qualified for a G2 road test just get a driving instructor and practice your driving, would be a waste of time and money if you can't drive well but you go for the test anyway...

its 25hr in class 10 hr driving.....go to one of those schools that you pay and just get the 25hr in class thing without showing up, give them a little extra if you know what i mean.....do the 10hr thing and ur set....

With out the whole in room pack you have to waite a year befor you can go for your test.If you take the inroom pack its cut down to 8 months.

if you REALLY don't have the time to spare for the 24hr in classroom, you can talk to them, and sign up, do the incar and roadtest and start driving, and whenever u have time, drop by, collect some hours in the classroom and collect that certificate afterwards. most courses are scheduled in a way such that you can start anytime and just drop into the classroom.

if you REALLY don't wanna take it, simply do a minipackage...usually something like 6 hrs in the car + their car for ur g1 road test.

if u get one of the schools to book you, there is practically no waiting time...from the day i was booked to my test was like...3-4 days.
