Informal Pancake places around Toronto Convention Centre?
I'm looking for some good diner type pancake breakfasts in walking distance of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, any tips?

Not fast food places, actual diners.

I can't recall any diners within walking distance of the MTCC. The only thing I can think of is a hotel. In terms of attire, I've seen everything from shorts to tuxedos in our hotel dining rooms here, so even if you don't want to dress up, you'll be fine. But I wouldn't expect a 5.95 pancake breakfast there, either. If you go to a hotel, expect to pay prob. $20/head.

Hmmmm. Not really a lot of "Diners" in the area, the best I can suggest is the Cora's on Blue Jay's Way ( http://www.chezcora.com/a/05-ou-dejeuner/196.htm ).
This is assuming the event you are attending is in the North and not the South building of the MTCC.

He was offering truthful advice. It's smack dab in the middle of downtown, if a homegrown diner was to open up, corporations would move in and buy the place out. Property in that area is expensive and no corporation would let it be owned by a diner.
Cora's your best bet, their selection is big in terms of food. I've always been pleased at every location I've been to across Ontario.

Yeah, but they're known for CREPES, not pancakes. I've tried the pancakes, yeah stick with the crepes.
Edit: Heck, I'm not really a fan of their crepes either.

+1. That bothers me too.
Cora's is OK, you know it'll be decent but a tad pricey IMO.

My reference was to the fact that I had suggested Coras two posts earlier. Guess you don't read previous posts either
