Inmet Mining (IMN.TO) -- bidding war begins

Congrats to those who bought in. $70 offer deemed too low by the board (earlier $63 offer also rejected)

The company did a pretty good job keeping this thing private right up until the news release went out. I was wondering why miners on my list were up 5% all of a sudden

I agree. I hope Teck doesn't get into a useless bidding war.

Offer increased to $72

Market still thinks shares will go higher :)

About a yr ago, I remember Quadra got an offer at $15, and shares kept trading above $15 -- too bad no competing offers came along
