insects in new constructed home?
hi all,
My newly constructed home seems to have an abnormal amount of house flies. I find at least two dead flies a week , sometimes up to 4. When the house was being constructed i noticed there were dead wasps and flies (at least one per window), but i didn;t think much of it as the house was being constructed and it was during the summer. But I still see the flies in winter. I thought new homes should be super sealed for energy effieciency, so where are these flies coming from? Windows are closed throughout the winter. I notice them in all parts of the house, (living room, bedroom, basement, upstairs, main floor.).Almost alwasy i find them near a window though. My basement is not finished, could this be the source or do i have a nest somewhere???? Any thoughts?
i worried with summer coming, i will have even more flies and wasps inside the house.

Flies don't nest AFAIK, there is a possibility of something dead somewhere in your house behind a wall or something. Mabey a mouse or a bird, the flies will go away when theres nothing left of the carcass.

The files go dormant over the winter and hide in every nook and crany of the house, they pop up in the spring in warmer weather.
