Inside Nations Experience, a 155,000-square-foot supermarket with an arcade, a playground and all-day dim sum

Wow, um someone just dropped the mic and gave Loblaws a stare down. Located in the Stockyards in the old Target building, 155,000 sq feet.

They lost me at $1.79 for 2 litres of COTT POP.
I don't care about the rest of the story. I'm gone and not returning ever again, unless they reduce the price to 99 cents to match many other grocery store store brand pop prices.
(Walmart has great valu pop for 87 cents, but let's not push it!)

LOL so cheap. Not returning to a store that sells many other products because one product is more expensive than you'd like.

Tom (forum admon/moderator) says he (playnicee1) doesn't work for yellow pages.

I still think his posts have an agenda though.

I really hope this works and gives life back to the stockyards.

It has been a long time developing .... or maybe they were negotiating a better rate on the whole plot. Like i said, this place needs a strong anchor.

Very impressive. But not too sure how much traffic is around that area. I don't think this will be as busy as Maple Leaf Gardens Loblaws.

You got that wrong. It's a LOT more expensive than I'd like. There is no excuse for charging that much. It's gouging and I will not be back.
If it were sold cold for that price maybe I could give the store benefit of the doubt, but it's not worth the bother if they have to over charge for pop.

My parents said lobster was a great deal there, like $8/lb. Apparently $8/lb is quite a deal according to my parents, as these days its a lot more than that. Yes, I know last yr or whatever it was, lobster was that cheap but it aint these days, according to my parents.

By the way that place use to be a slaughter house. I still remember driving by and having to close the windows because it smelled so bad. I honestly had no idea that it looked so nice inside.

Yup. When Target first opened in that space there they bragged about how it was built from scratch and not a former Zellers store.
Also, here's a throwback to 2007: https://www.google.ca/maps/place/St+Cla ... 79.4675352

I was there a couple weeks on a weekend and was impressed. Prices are a bit high, but then there is a Metro across the road.
A life spent making mistakes is not only more memorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
